Established in 1948, Hibbing HRA provides public housing for the city of Hibbing. We specialize in public housing apartments, offering subsidized house for those who qualify. Most of our customers are low income individuals and families. We recognize that financial support for subsidized housing is a necessity for many. As a beneficiary of subsidized housing, your rent should be no more than 30% of income for low income households.
Tenants are only required to pay rent based on the gross income of the family members, independent of the exorbitant market rates. Affordable rent is often defined as costing 30% or less of a family’s total monthly income, and we ensure that you don’t have to pay more than that. Rent-geared-to-income units include all public housing stock and many developments managed by non-profit and co-operative housing providers.
